Settings
Height follows the picture’s shape (max 400)
Fewer is easier to stitch; 15–30 suits most pictures
Only affects the finished-size estimate
Symbols-only prints cleanly on a mono printer
Paste the codes from a pattern’s key and every stitch is matched to the nearest of those threads only. Leave blank to let the tool pick the best DMC matches.
How it will look

Skeins
Skeins are a rough guide: one 8 m skein covers about 1,700 full stitches at 14-count with 2 strands. Buy an extra skein of any colour that comes out close to a whole number. Colours are the closest DMC match to the picture; threads in hand can look different from screen colours.
